I have been a performing magician for about thirty years and my criteria for using a particular move has always been;

• Is it practical
• Does it do the job

Unfortunately I have never been too interested in the history of a move and do not feel qualified to give a history lesson. If I know where a move originated then I will certainly credit it and if not then I apologise in advance for my lack of knowledge.
